Legendary NFL running back Jim Brown met on Tuesday with Donald Trump in New York. Brown said that short meeting was enough for him to “fall in love” with our next president.
Brown admitted to voting for Hillary Clinton in the recent election. But he has accepted Trump’s victory, unlike so many other liberals.
So Brown decided to meeting with Trump to discuss issues facing the African-American community.
“I fell in love with him because he really talks about helping African-American, black people and that’s why I’m here,” Brown told CNN.
Brown, considered by many the greatest NFL running back of all time, has long worked for the betterment of inner-city children.
And he is confident Trump is the answer to our nation’s problems.
“When he goes through what he went through to become the president, he got my admiration,” said Brown, dismissing criticism that Trump is unqualified for the presidency.
ALL LIVES MATTER
Brown also took what appeared to be a veiled jab at the Black Lives Matter movement.
While his focus is on the African-American community, Jim Brown works with any people of good nature, regardless of skin color.
“When I come out of the box, I don’t come out of the box as racial,” he said. “I look for good people and people that will be like-minded and help me try to do good for other human beings.”
Brown acknowledged that three of the most influential people in his life growing up where white. So he sees no conflict in working with a “rich white guy” like Trump.
